Duration: 16 Nights / 17 Days, Everest base camp trekking itinerary
Day 01 Arrival in Kathmandu : Our Everest Trekking guide welcomes you at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) and transfers to hotel. Briefing on trekking, gears, foodstuff, guide and porters will take place at the hotel. Enjoy welcome dines with cultural show.

Day 02 Kathmandu sightseeing tours (Approx. 5 hrs ): This is the day of visiting culturally, historically and architecturally enhanced valley. Today’s highlights are Swayambhunath – the Monkey Temple, Bouddhanath – one of the largest stupas in the world and Pashupalinath – the most famous ancient shrine with open public cremation. The former two monuments are the Buddhist ones where the latter one is dedicated to the Hindu Lord Shiva. Rest of the moments can be enjoyed roaming around the town.
Swayambhunath Stupa aka the Monkey Temple: Swayambhunath (the self-existent) is a widely known Buddhist monument on a hillock, to west of central Kathmandu. The shrine is approximately 2600 years old and is still a glorious and eye-catchy for the visitors. Because of the presence of holy and tricky monkeys in the premises of the monument, the stupa is also known as the Monkey Temple. Due to the visit to this site by the famous Indian emperor Ashoka in 3rd century BC, this monument is a historical pilgrimage since ancient time. A common temple for both Hindus and Buddhists in the complex of stupa symbolizes religious tolerance in Nepal.
Pashupatinath Temple: Being a Mecca for Hindus of the world, the temple seemed to have its origin away back to the early Kirant period. However, the present structure dates back to early 18th century. The main Shiva temple is most noted for its gold-painted roof and silver coated doors in each four directions. This holy site is also famous for open public crematorium. See the devotion of people to Pashupatinath, dedicated Sadhus- the holy men, post death rituals and the strange monkeys in the premises of the shrine.
Bouddhnath Stupa: Bouddhanath, one of the largest stupas in the world, is set in the octagonal Mandala design. It is the must visit site for the Tibetan Buddhists since the legend of the Stupa is related to the Tibetans. It’s almost Tibetan settlement area with dozens of monasteries in its surroundings. This ancient Stupa has 108 images of deities and 147 insets of prayer wheels adorning the base of the huge dome.

Day 03 Kathmandu – Lukla Airport– trekking to Phakding (Distance – Approx. 3 hrs trekking ): After driving to Kathmandu airport we will have 30 minutes’ scenic flight to Lukla (2800 MASL). When we meet our Sherpa team, we will trek for Phakding (2600 MASL). Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 04 Phakding – Namche (Approx 5 hrs trekking ): Namche (3440 MASL) is regarded as the gateway of Trans–Himalayan trade since long. After long hike from Phakding, we will take rest in this land of Sherpa inhabitant.

Day 05 Acclimatization at Namche: This rest day supports you to energize in highest elevation preventing from altitude sickness. We will explore local villages and museum nearby. While visiting Hillary School and the Hospital, we will memorize the pioneer mountaineers Tenzing Norge Sherpa and Edmund Hillary and will bow our head to pay respect to them. Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D).
Namche Bazzar is a colorful Sherpa village with many wonderful and interesting shops and vendors, fabulous food, and stunning views of the surrounding Himalayas. An early trekking above town, before the clouds move in, reward trekkers with a spectacular Himalayan sunrise and views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse (the 4th highest peak in the world), and the beautiful Ama Dablam. On the way down, there is chance to visit the Sherpa Museum that houses an exhibit on traditional Sherpa lifestyle and a fabulous photography display by a local Nepalese naturalist. One room highlights the Sherpa traditions and in another, Sherpa high altitude climbers are presented.
Day 06 Namche – Deboche (Approx 5 hrs trekking ): Via Tengboche, we continue our trekking to Deboche (4350 MASL). The largest monastery in Khumbu, Tengboche (3850 MASL), offers gigantic view of Everest along with Amadablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, etc. Here, we will pass by quiet rhododendron forest. Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D).
Day 07 Deboche – Pheriche (Approx 4 hrs hiking ): As we leave Deboche, we will hike to Pangboche and will obtain blessing from Lamp Geshe for the sake of successful trip. Geshe is the distinguished religious figure of Solukhumbu. Here we follow Imja river in order to reach Pheriche. (4240 MASL). Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D).
Day 08 Acclimatization at Pheriche (Easy hiking around Hotel):
On this rest day, we visit a clinic run by Himalayan Rescue Association and then ascend to Imja river valley. This place proffers superb vista of northern Amadablam. Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D).
Day 09 Pheriche – Lobuche (Approx 4 hrs trekking ): This trail is full of past memorials for mountaineers made up of rocks. Along the way, you will see many Chhortens and prayer flags. And, you may encounter with snow trail further. Lobuche (4950 MASL) is a Himalayan village on the base of the peak Lobuche. Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D).
Day 10 Lobuche – Gorakshep (Approx 3 hrs trek ): Marching ahead, we will cross over the Khangri glacier after walking lower ridges of Khumbu glacier. This trail leads us to Gorakshep (5150 MASL), the final stop before the Everest base camp. climb to kalapathar if you are feeling strong during sun set time which offers the best views of Mount Everest and other Himalayan range.Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 11 Gorkshep – Everest Base Camp – Gorakshep (Approx 6 hrs trek ): In order to touch the ground of most important part of the trek, we leave the grassy mountainous valley and set out across icy-rocky Khumbu glacier into the base camp (5400 MASL). And, we return back to Gorakshep. Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 12 Gorkshep – Kalapaththar – Pheriche (Approx 6 hrs trek ): Today we hike for Kalapaththar (5545 MASL) in the morning. This is another remarkable day since today you are at the highest point of the whole trek. The striking and glorious Everest creates heavenly surrounding in the morning. Now, in order to wipe out hunger and thirst of good sleep and thick air, we begin to descend towards Pheriche (4240 MASL). Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 13 Pheriche – Namche (Appox 7 hrs trek ): Fragrant pine and thriven rhododendron woods deliver pleasant moments on the way to Namche (3440MASL). Rejoice the evening with yak steaks, beer and pastries.Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 14 Namche – Lukla (Approx 6 hrs hike ): Crossing a number of suspension bridges over Dudhkoshi river and approaching lush valleys of lower Khumbu, we hike down to Lukla (2800 MASL) on the last day of the trekking. Overnight at Tea House Lodge (B,L,D)
Day 15 Lukla – Kathmandu (Approx 35 minutes flight): This panoramic flight to Kathmandu delivers unforgettable moments of farewell to the Himalayan landscapes and culture. Invest your free afternoon for relaxation and exploration of the city, Kathmandu.

Day 16 Tours of Kathmandu Darbar square: This tour does not offer only informative monumental sight and pleasure but also the blessings from Kumari, the living goddess. In the first spot, you will be surrounded by a number of temples and old royal palace as the heart of the town. Artistic courtyards with sculptured structures, awesome architecture and living goddess Kumari are the main highlights of this site. A museum inside the Durbar presents memorials of the monarchs from Shah Dynasty.
Kathmandu Durbar Square: Situated in the heart of the city, Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the attractive monuments you visit during your trip in Nepal. This complex of temples and old royal palace (Durbar) of the city represents Nepalese art and architecture linking the old with the new ones. This site has played central role in political, cultural and artistic life of the country. The oldest monument dates back to 12th century where Durbar square flourished in the 17th – 19th century during the reign if Malla and Shah Monarchs.
